IP & Security Architect

Job Description:

Universal Infotech is currently seeking 1 experienced IP Security Architect who is proficient at cutting edge MPLS/LTE/Data Centre/Security technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity who can deliver both functional & technical skills as per the need.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong experience in delivering and supporting Firewalls (Juniper, Cisco ASAxxxx, Checkpoint, Palo Alto).
  •  
  • Support IPsec and SSL remote access solutions.
  •  
  • Expert in Data Centre Migration strategy & service migration to the new NGN platform. Designing and Implementing the Network for supporting Data and VoIP services.
  •  
  • Translating high level solution vision into an end-to-end technical design.
  •  
  • Support the IT network and security infrastructure.
  •  
  • Experience in designing and deploying IP networks for Enterprise networks including QoS, recommending methodology for KPI measurements and definitions.
  •  
  • Hands-on experience in deployment and hand-over to operations - verifying and validating the telecom operations process, targeting KPIs and supporting day to day network performance. Practical experience working on upgradation of backhaul circuit Experience of delivering low level and high level designs to meet customer's requirements.
  •  
  • Expertise in routing and switching - ISIS, BGP, OSPF etc... Practical experience in IP/MPLS network architecture and design.
  •  
  • Knowledge and experience in Network device hardening.
  •  
  • Architect technical knowledge level of IP networks as well as an awareness of protection architectures and the different overlying service types such as IP/MPLS and Voice.
  •  
  • Delivery of carrier class IP network services; ideally with CISCO, Alcatel-Lucent and Juniper. Knowledge of OSS systems within a telecom environment.
  •  
  • Knowledge of optical management systems and optical planning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and management of bespoke discovery frameworks for each project, in order to identify and track all assets/services and their technical scope.
  • Design low level migration approaches for a variety of critical business and infrastructure services.
  • Involve at various levels of Projects across the inception to completion of the project including post-live support.
  • Design and implementation of security and network solutions for customers including firewall, VPN, authentication mechanisms, High Availability network and application implementations based on client requirements and proposed design.
  • Ensuring that activities conform to internal and external compliance requirements· Involve in Technical discussion with the Clients & Understand the business/project requirements & identify & confirm the scope.
  • Ensure applications are operationally sound by ensuring non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, performance and failure recovery are fully met.
  • Propose Vendor product certification by validating the products and solutions offered by vendors based on the technical specifications & future business requirements.
  • Participate in product delivery by managing deployment of application software and provision and maintain a capable server infrastructure.
  • Technical Design Authority for enterprise projects & provides technical direction & leadership for the overall delivery of project.
  • Presenting, Reviewing and/or approving HLDs, LLDs, Detailed Designs as a Senior Network Designer/Technical Design Authority.
  • Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing Network and software as necessary.
  • Support to the Sales & operations department during the POST Sales phase.
  • Network design, Planning, Implementation & configuration of Enterprise & Telco Networks using Routing & Switching, MPLS VPN, Layer3/ 2 VPN, IPSEC VPN.
  • Technical Design Authority for Data Centre Design, Best Practices, Optimization and Virtualization.
  • Designing & Restructuring skills for MPLS Core & Edge networks and excellent knowledge of MPLS-VPN, BGP, MPBGP & High Availability Network Features.

Salary:

£30,000 to £35,000 per annum.
 

Qualifications:

Degree Level Qualification in Electronics & Telecommunication Formal network certifications but not limited to (CCNP/CCDP/CCIE/CCDE).
 

Working Hours:

37.5 hours/week.
